WhatsUp Gold® 16.2 now integrated with Meru and Ruckus wireless networks, Cisco Nexus data center switches and provides added seed discovery for IPv6 protocol
LEXINGTON, Mass. – November 4, 2013 – The Ipswitch® Network Management Division today announced WhatsUp Gold 16.2, an upgrade to its comprehensive flagship network monitoring and management product. WhatsUp Gold delivers monitoring for networks, systems, applications, and event logging, along with expert network management solutions – to companies and government organizations around the world.
“The latest version of WhatsUp Gold will give me more visibility into my network and improve wireless network management through its powerful unified dashboard. It will also help further address the challenges caused by employees who bring their own devices to work or chew bandwidth with streaming media,” said Matt Cline, Senior Systems Administrator at Optim Healthcare.
New Features in WhatsUp Gold v16.2 include integration with wireless network technologies from Meru Networks and Ruckus, Cisco WAP321 wireless access points, and Cisco Nexus data center switches. In addition, the product provides added seed discovery for the IPv6 protocol, and updated discovery and monitoring features.
“WhatsUp Gold provides capabilities to cost-effectively deliver diverse IT services based on their value to the business. In comparison, other so-called affordable network monitoring products don’t offer a unified view or fully encompass heterogeneous environments. Additionally, expensive, complex solutions from BMC, CA, HP and IBM take months to implement and include features often not used,” said Ennio Carboni, President of the Ipswitch Network Management Division.
