Ipswitch Named Winner at 7th Annual Killer Content Awards by Demand Gen Report

Ipswitch's Use of Blogs, Podcasts and Video Earn Killer Content Award, Raising Bar in Content Creation and Campaign Execution

BURLINGTON, Mass. - Feb. 22, 2018 - Ipswitch®, producer of award-winning and easy to use secure file transfer and network management software, won a Killer Content Award in the category, Social Amplification from Demand Gen Report for its use of blogs, podcasts and video to increase web traffic and drive a strong top of the funnel for the company's inbound marketing efforts. Jeanne Hopkins, the company's Executive Vice President and CMO, accepted the award at the B2B Marketing Exchange on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 in Scottsdale, Arizona. The Killer Content Awards honor B2B firms that have challenged the status quo and raise the bar in content creation and campaign execution.

"The key to our blog and podcast success over the past year has been providing content that is helpful for our target audience - IT professionals - rather than content focused on conversions," said Jeanne Hopkins. "By focusing on creating a knowledgebase for IT professionals with educational content that covers more than just our products, we have drastically increased our traffic and subscriber base. We are thrilled our success has been recognized with a Killer Content Award."

Rich with educational content to help IT pros get in front of their challenges, the Ipswitch blog, which launched in December 2016, grew monthly visitors from 1,800 in February 2017 to over 43,000 in January 2018. Blog organic traffic grew from less than 2,000 in January 2016 to above 12,000 in January 2018. As well, overall organic traffic grew as a significant percentage over the year.

The Defrag This podcast, hosted by Greg Mooney, Sr. Content Manager at Ipswitch, has been a huge contributor with 32 episodes since launching in May 2017, available on multiple channels, including iTunes (https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/defrag-this/id1234621622?mt=2). Also available on the blog, Defrag This features meaningful industry trends, commentary on breaking news and more.

Ipswitch is the producer of award-winning and easy to use secure file transfer and network management software, including WhatsUp® Gold networking monitoring and MOVEit® secure file transfer.

Hosted by Demand Gen Report, the B2B Marketing Exchange took place on Monday, February 19 - Wednesday, February 21, 2018, hosting modern performance and content marketers managing the complex sales cycles and group buying realities common in B2B industries.
